I am a photographer in fashion, beauty, editorial and lifestyle based in Seattle, WA. I also consult with professional photo labs and other commercial photographers/graphic designers on digital imaging technologies, particularly in color management. My work has been published and exhibited on four continents.My photographs are reflections of my values: humanistic, elegant, thoughtful, romantic, minimalistic and technically rigorous. My fashion sensibility came from the streets of London and Hong Kong, where I lived and still maintain residences. I believe in collaborative, innovative, creative work while maintaining the traditional values of integrity, honor and respect in business and in life. Besides photography, I have held technical, managerial and executive positions in other fields.
I am involved with Soulumination, a non-profit that celebrates the lives of children facing life-threatening illnesses. In 2011, I begin to work with Northwest Harvest pro bono on their campaign against hunger in Washington State. I also care deeply about our environment and minimize waste and energy use by utilizing the latest digital workflow technology. A classical tenor myself, I am a proud patron sponsor of the Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony and Seattle Art Museum. Most of my profits from photography goes to charities in environmental conservation, urban homelessness, education and the three organizations above.
Aside from photography, I am also an award-winning educator in engineering and entrepreneurship, I believe in the power of education, and mentor many local students from high schools and colleges in photography, science and math. Officially, I am on the board of the Tech Advisory Committee at the Seattle Central Community College. I am also an active mentor, coach and judge on entrepreneurship at the Foster Business School.
